Closure of Clinics in Ceres, Robertson and DeDoorns

13 November 2012

Due to the continued escalaltion of protest action, Western Cape Government Health in the Cape Winelands has closed the following clinics in the towns of De Doorns, Ceres and Robertson:

  • De Doorns: Sandhills, Orchard and De Doorns Clinics
  • Ceres: Nduli  Clinic
  • Robertson: Nqubela and Zolani Clinics.
The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of the closure but the safety of both staff and patients is paramount.

The clinics will remain closed until further notice.

Patients needing emergency healthcare should access this via the Ambulance Services on 10177.

Communities will be informed as soon as the clinics have reopened. Staff ordinarily working in these facilities have been deployed to other health facilities in the areas closest to them.

Western Cape Government Health urges communities to allow emergency vehicles to move freely when collecting patients.
