Our Mandate
This sub-programme supports major projects and initiatives that drive economic growth, attract investment, and create jobs in the Western Cape. It strengthens the province's economic infrastructure and creates an enabling environment for businesses to invest, grow, and compete in local and global markets.
Priority Focus Areas
Cape Catalyst
Cape Catalyst accelerates high impact catalytic economic infrastructure in the Western Cape by identifying strategic opportunities, preparing projects for investment, and enabling the systems required for delivery.
Port of Cape Town and Logistics
The Port of Cape Town is a key hub for trade and economic activity in the Western Cape. It supports a range of functions, including container handling, ship repairs and related logistics services that help move goods efficiently in and out of the region.
Special Economic Zones (SEZ's)
Special Economic Zones (SEZs) support infrastructure development and stimulate economic growth by offering favourable regulations to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).
