The Human Settlement Planning Chief Directorate is responsible for promoting integrated human settlement planning and development.

Functions:

• Conduct research, develop policies and provide advice in support of sustainable human settlements.
• Provide direction for integrated human settlement planning.
• Manage, dispose, maintain & release human settlement assets.
• Facilitate gap and rental housing delivery.
