Call for proposals from NPOs to support health services for a 3-year cycle 2023/24- 2025/26

The Western Cape Government (WCG) Health and Wellness Department aims to strengthen its collaboration with non-profit organisations (NPOs) through the creation of formalised partnerships for the community-based health service delivery across the primary health care settings. Partnerships are continued annually and are based on performance-based annual evaluations. 

NPOs are invited to submit a business proposal if they are prepared to deliver of the following services in:

1) Community-based mental health services including group homes, day-care.

For Southern/Western Sub-structure:

a) Licensed Group Home in the Western Sub-district (Pinelands Area)

b) Licensed Special Day Care Centre in the Western Sub-district (Atlantis Area)

For Northern/Tygerberg Sub-structure:

a) Licensed Special Day Care Centre (Ravensmead and Delft)

2) High Transmission Area Projects work with ‘key populations’ at district level that are most likely to be affected by HIV and/or Tuberculosis (TB).

For Cape Town Metro:

a) Services for refugees/ undocumented foreigners/asylum seekers

b) Services for persons with disabilities 

The Department of Health and Wellness reserves the right to set programme-specific targets, in accordance with its Annual Performance Plans for 2023/24 -2025/26.

NPOs working within identified sub-district boundaries should sign a transfer payment agreement with the relevant substructure in the City of Cape Town District. NPOs are hereby invited to submit proposals for the delivery of community-based health services for the 3-year cycle. NPOs are kindly requested to submit their proposals to the relevant substructures in the City of Cape Town District. NPOs are encouraged to, where possible, work within the identified substructure/ district boundaries indicated below with respective contact details.
