This is the Government of South Africa's strategy for rebuilding and restructuring the economy. It follows the goals set out in the Reconstruction and Development Programme. The aims of this economic strategy are to meet the basic needs of the South African people, develop human resources, increase participation in the democratic institutions of civil society and implement the RDP in all its facets.
