Road markings on the R27

21 February 2017

Permanent road markings will be painted on a resealed part of the R27 between Yzerfontein and Langebaan, starting this week and running until the first week of March 2017. This forms part of a R84 million Department of Transport and Public Works (DTPW) project to reseal a 40 km length section of the R27.

Two-way traffic will be possible along the entire length of affected road. Temporary warning signs will be erected on either side of the work zone with flagmen/women and mobile high visibility signage at the painting machine.

The high-quality road infrastructure that DTPW provides is an important component of a safe and effective transport system, and an enabler of economic and social development in the Western Cape.
