Western Cape Minister for Community Safety Leonard Ramatlakane was officially sworn-in as Acting Premier by Cape Judge President John Hlophe on September 7, 2005.

Minister Ramatlakane will be standing in for Premier Ebrahim Rasool who will be away on official business until the 13 September 2005.

This is the fourth occassion that Minister Ramatlakane is called upon to serve as Acting Premier.
