Minister Fritz to deploy 44 peace and traffic officers

Minister Fritz to deploy 44 peace and traffic officers to Breede Valley and Langeberg Municipalities

Tomorrow, the Minister of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, will host two graduation ceremonies, one in Breede Valley municipality and one Langeberg municipality for a total of 44 peace and traffic officers who have recently completed their SAQA accreditation.

In total, 466 young people will be available to be appointed as peace officers or safety ambassadors from 24 rural local municipalities. This has been made possible through the Department’s Rural Safety Plans formed in partnership with local and district municipalities.

Langeberg Municipality Peace and Training officer graduation

Breede Valley Peace and Training officer graduation

Date: 4 March 2021

Time: 12 noon

Location: Worcester Town Hall, 93 High Street, Worcester
