Media Alert: Minister Winde to Brief on Foreign Investments in BPO Industry

On Tuesday, 30 April 2013 Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde will visit one of the Western Cape’s leading call centre operations, Capita.

The local industry’s reputation as one of the world’s premier Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) destinations is growing, especially after winning two major international awards.

Minister Winde will brief the media on the most recent foreign investment injections into the province’s R8 billion  BPO and off-shoring sector and a high-profile award that this sector recently scooped.

Gareth Pritchard, the chief executive officer of Business Process Enabling South Africa Western Cape (BPeSA), the province’s regional outsourcing trade promotion association, will join Minister Winde at the briefing.
