Media Alert: Minister Schafer to Visit Grade 12 Holiday Programme at Oval North

Today, Minister Debbie Schafer will visit the Grade 12 Holiday Programme at Oval North High School.  

 

In order to assist our learners in preparation for the National Senior Certificate (NSC), the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has initiated a number of targeted and sustained interventions at schools across the province, including a Winter School Programme for Grade 12 learners.

 

The WCED have organised holiday study programmes at 166 of our high schools. The Winter School Programmes aims to assist learners in high enrolment subjects. The Programme at Oval North High School will run from 30 June – 5 July 2014 and extra lessons will include Accounting, Afrikaans, English, Life Sciences, Maths, Maths Literature and Physical Science.

 

Providing curriculum support to our Grade 12 learners is always a priority, and the Grade 12 Winter Schools Programme is just one of the many interventions by the WCED to help support and assist our Grade 12 learners.
