Tomorrow, 17 July 2014, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, will be officially handing over the 200 condolence books that have been brought from all over the Western Cape to the Western Cape Archives, ahead of Mandela Day.

Since the passing of former President Nelson Mandela last year, members of the public have been encouraged to write their condolence messages in these books in different regions of the Western Cape. Now they will be stored at the Archives where they will be available for public viewing.

In honouring our national icon, Tat’uMadiba and his 67 years of selfless service, the Minister will officially handover the books to the Archives.
