Media Alert: Cape Metro District Receives R1 760 000 For Sporting Activities

Following the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport’s budget appropriations for the 2017/18 financial year, Minister Anroux Marais has hand over ceremonial cheques to 4 districts across the province, totalling over R3 million so far.  

Tomorrow, 20 April 2017, Minister Anroux Marais will officially present a cheque of R1 760 000 to the sport federations of the Cape Metro District.

This allocation will undoubtedly promote sporting activities in the district through the provision of equitable, accessible and affordable sport facilities, programmes and services.
