Khayelitsha residents to receive title deeds from Minister Tertuis Simmers

19 October 2020

Today, Minister of Human Settlements, Tertuis Simmers will hand over 18 title deeds to deserving recipients in Khayelitsha.

Minister Simmers said: “These handovers present us with the opportunity to ensure our residents have full and legal ownership of their properties. This is critical, as it gives our people a sense of security, dignity and pride, knowing they’ll be fully-fledged homeowners.

I’m particularly looking forward to visiting two elderly beneficiaries at their homes, where the handover will occur. As the Western Cape Government, we remain committed to improving the lives of our residents.”

There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
