Heidedal Primary pupils pay tribute to George Hospital staff

6 July 2021

Pupils of Heidedal Primary School warmed the hearts of George Hospital staff members as they brave the winter cold with their creative hand-drawn visuals and thank you notes.

Teachers Xanadu Van der Berg and Jerome Syfers said the posters are a token of appreciation towards the entire hospital team from the frontline workers to the cleaners for doing an amazing job under these stressful circumstances.

Some of the touching Thank You notes are expressions of gratitude towards health care workers for being angels, for working day and night to heal others back to health and amongst others, for saving the lives of patients hospitalised with COVID-19.

George Hospital wish to thank the pupils and teachers who came up with this brilliant idea to remind staff that their unwavering commitment in serving members of the public in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic does not go unnoticed.
