Gold for Team DCAS at 2015 Corporate Games

The Annual Cape Town Corporate Games took place from the 3–5 September 2015. Ten sporting codes were played at various venues such as Grand West, Montague Sports Arena, Century City, Mowbray Golf Club and Bloemendal Estate.

The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) entered a total of 201 competitors compromising of all the winners of the various Better Together Games.

The aims and objectives of the games are to encourage corporate companies to support employee Health and Wellness as well as to live a more active lifestyle. The corporate games also create an opportunity for organisations to network, creating social cohesion amongst colleagues.

The DCAS Chief of Sport and Recreation Director Lyndon Bouah welcomed each and every participant to the Corporate Games. He said, “On behalf of our Minister Anroux Marais, the patron of the games, we are proud to be associated with the Cape Town Corporate Games. We believe that we can all get together on a social level such as the Corporate Games to build social cohesion and promote responsible lifestyles.”

Team Western Cape Government won gold in the netball, football, mixed netball and go-karting events.
