Extended Service Hours at Mitchells Plain Community Health Centre

Mitchells Plain Community Health Centre (CHC) is now offering woman and child health extended service hours for working mothers.

The services will be rendered for working mothers on weekdays from 16:30 to 21:00 and on Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.

Services for females include contraceptives (family planning) and cervical screenings (pap smears).

Services for children include immunisations, Vitamin A and the management of sick children.

Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, says the longer hours offer working mothers the opportunity to visit the facility at times more convenient for them. "Women's health is a priority for our health department. That is why Western Cape Government is trying to provide access and longer hours after working hours. Use the opportunity. In this way we are better together."
