The evening aimed to showcase the athletes and their outstanding achievements. Guest speaker Elana Meyer, a world renowned athlete, motivated the athletes to remain eager and determined to always give their best.
Chairperson of the Eden Sport Council, Desmond Speelman, welcomed everyone present on behalf of the Council, congratulated the athletes and extended his warm welcome and great appreciation to everyone present. He emphasised the hard work of the athletes receiving awards on this special evening and described them as “the most important people of the evening”.

Tonight at this joyous, prestigious occasion, we are celebrating excellence in sport. Tonight you will be awarded for your hard work, determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort. You have never given up on your dream. You are true champions of your game and you have never given less than 100% in everything you do.”
