Public Private Initiatives (PPIs)

The initiative aims to expand and improve access to equitable and affordable primary health care services to all citizens by providing these services at the facilities of the Private Providers, with Stock and related services to be provided by the Department, and distributed and rendered by the Private Provider.

Initiatives available in terms of:

• Family Planning
• Baby Immunisation
• HIV Counselling & Testing (HCT)
• TB
• Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
• Cervical screening
• Antenatal services
• Influenza Vaccine
• Old age home consumables
• Dental consumables
• NHLS Lab services
• Hygiene improvement
• Infection control and health promotion services
• COVID-19
• Mass Campaigns
• Mpox vaccine 

Please note that all services are granted at the discretion of the District Managers, in line with budgetary constraints and the need for the service. In addition, proof of competency and relevant permits/licences must be submitted in order to render any of the above services in partnership with the WCGHW. Monthly statistics are required from the private provider as part of the partnership.
