Simon's Town Museum

Description:

The Simon’s Town Museum collects and preserves the history of the Simon’s Town. Emphasis is placed on our immense diversity of origins, cultures and religions. We also highlight the significant role played by Simon’s Town in maritime and global history and our links to the VOC, the Royal Navy and to other nations around the world.

The Museum tells the story of the people of Simon’s Town, showcasing the rich diversity of the residents’ origins, cultures and religions. This includes links to national and international history and the ongoing impact of Forced Removals on our community.

The museum has lively educational and public programmes in Simon’s Town and Ocean View. Its role as a platform for local voices is one of its strengths.

Visit the museum or follow its social media pages, to get to people of Simon’s Town and Ocean View.
