October is Teacher Appreciation month, where we celebrate our teachers.
Behind all the bookkeepers, nurses, lawyers, engineers, plumbers, artists is a teacher who motivated and molded them. Before the titles, the degrees, diplomas and the big idea, there was a teacher. They are the quiet force powering our progress and growth.
This October, we pay tribute to our teachers who have helped us reach our dreams, and who continue to guide us toward new horizons.

Show your appreciation by posting your own story of gratitude using the hashtag #ThankaTeacher
You can do this in a number of ways:
- Write a message about your teacher
- Post a video message to or about your teacher
- Draw and post a picture of you and your teacher
- Post a photo of your teacher – and include your name and grade.
- Post anything to show you appreciate teachers!
Don’t forget to use #ThankaTeacher
We are also encouraging all learners to celebrate World Teachers Day on 5 October 2024, by writing a card or letter to their teacher. A small gesture such as this goes a long way!
