The Western Cape Department of Human Settlements in partnership with the City of Cape Town and the Community Organization Resource Centre (CORC) conducted a household enumeration study in 11 informal settlements namely, Gxagxa, Vukuzenzele, Lusaka, KTC, Kanana, Barcelona, Europe, Kosovo, Tsunami, Thabo Mbeki & Hlazo Village which are located in the Cape Town Metropolitan Area.

The Smart Cape Access Project provides free computer access and Internet connectivity to the citizens of Cape Town in six city libraries. This evaluation assesses the impact of Smart Cape on users and the impact of the technology and management of the project on the City of Cape Town and its resources.
This is a benchmark study of regional tourism development in the Western Cape. It assesses the Tiered Support Programmes, as facilitated by the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism, by setting out the research findings from the Tourism Entrepreneur Survey and the Programme Stakeholders Survey. Taken together, these findings develop an understanding of the impact of the Tiered Support Programmes as of August 2005.

The Expenditure Review 2002 is an effort in assessing the qualitative performance of the Province as a whole, as well as the votes (provincial departments) individually, taking historical trends and sector specific issues into account and showing the implications for the Medium Term Expenditure Framework until 2004/05, based on current allocations. An attempt is also made to reflect on non-financial information to give the reader a better understanding on the performance of the Province and provincial departments.
