Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital: Respiratory Consultations and Clinic

Description:
This clinic deals with all forms of respiratory illness in children but also problems such as chronic cough, snoring, and recurrent pneumonia.

Enquiries and consultations from doctors or Primary Health Care Nurses are welcome. The call will be transferred to a specialist paediatrician for an immediate telephonic consultation. Whenever possible we will try to manage the problem telephonically in conjunction with the referring person. This is in order to minimise inconvenience to patients and their families and to promote continuity of care in the community.

In unusual circumstances when a problem cannot be handled in this way, arrangements will be made to the child at the hospital's out-patient clinic.
