A R3.6m Department of Transport and Public Works (DTPW) project for the Western Cape Department of Health to upgrade and extend the Murraysburg Ambulance Station is expected to be completed in August 2022. The existing ambulance station in the town will be moved into the Murraysburg Hospital storeroom, and a wash bay that meets health standards will be constructed on the site. A new hospital storeroom will be built. By the time the contract is complete, R2.1 m will have been spent on targeted contractors and suppliers. One woman and one youth will benefit from the work that is created on the project.
