The Department of Transport and Public Works has completed a R6.7m project to add eight additional mobile classrooms and ablutions at the Fisantekraal Primary school.
The project was a response to a request from the Western Cape Education Department’s Metro North District and it created 15 jobs. Construction commenced on 30 November 2021 and was completed on 17 January 2022.
Due to the requirement to have the classrooms ready for the learners when schools reopened in January 2022, the contractor had to work throughout the builder’s break to complete this project.
