Support for AgriBusiness

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism can refer farmers to a wide range of information, support and training programmes. At present there is a particular focus on supporting the development and marketing of organic produce because of increased local and international demand for organic produce, the benefits of these farming methods in terms of biodiversity and sustainability, and the fact that organic farming lends itself to small-scale farming.
