Problem Statement

Employers expect unemployed learners to be work ready at the point of hiring - the problem is that work readiness is not integrated into the school or college curriculum. How can business address this in partnership with TVETs and other institutions.

Discussion leaders

Keith Rosmarin (Harambee) and Rahima Loghdey (DEDAT)

Consider this

How do we unlock the demand for alternative pathways into technical jobs to accelerate youth employment at scale?

How do we address the mismatch between supply and demand?

How do we open up pathways for young people who are blocked from opportunities to access the work place?
