2020 Service Excellence Awards - CALL FOR ENTRY

The 2020 Service Excellence Awards (SEA) nomination submissions are currently open and you are encouraged to nominate a deserving colleague or team in acknowledgement of excellence with the Western Cape Government. The 2020 SEA is in recognition of work/or service during the period 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020.

What you need to do:

  • Complete the entry form 
  • Provide written motivation not exceeding five (5) pages
  • Evidence can be attached and may include e.g. letters from stakeholders, beneficiaries, photo collages, newspaper clippings, magazine clippings etc.
  • Evidence not to include DVDs, CDs, reference to hyperlinks and websites or memory sticks.

The categories which can be entered into are:

Individual categories:

A Nominee cannot nominate themselves. The Nominator can be a Supervisor, Manager, Co-worker etc. This is the person any future contact will be made with.

Team categories:

The Nominator can be part of the Team, Project or Programme entered. This is the person any future contact will be made with. 

Exemplary Leader: Leaders visibly demonstrating strong leadership, strong management skills and commitment to continuous development;

Barrier Breaker: Team visibly demonstrating commitment to citizen-centeredness and performance excellence through teamwork across different areas/ silos/ departments;

Courageous Frontline Employee: Frontline Employee visibly demonstrating commitment to citizen-centeredness;

Lead Programme or Project: Programme or Project achievement having a positive impact on service delivery, saving cost and improving lives of citizens; 

Inspiration Support Employee: Support/Operations (Back Office) Employee visibly demonstrating commitment to good governance and administration; 

Team Ground Breaker/Innovation: Visibly demonstrates effective innovations and solutions e.g. improved methods for doing work, reducing time spend [lead time reduction], automated solutions; innovative channels for consulting/informing clients/stakeholders engagement; cost saving methods.

Inspirational Innovator: Visibly demonstrates effective innovations and solutions e.g. improved methods for doing work, reducing time spend [lead time reduction], automated solutions; innovative channels for consulting/informing clients/stakeholders engagement; cost saving methods.
