Worcester Museum demonstrates traditional activities at vintage show

14 August 2017

On 11 and 12 August 2017 the Worcester Museum participated in the Western Cape Tractor and Engine Club Show at Villiersdorp.

The show provided the opportunity to museum staff to demonstrate their skills in baking stick bread and making ointment from herbs.  The interactive approach also involved participants to making traditional candles and soap and recycling paper.

The outreach programmes of the Worcester Museum allow people of all ages to expand their knowledge about our rich cultural heritage so that it can be preserved for future generations BETTER TOGETHER.
