Urban Renewal Programme to Co-Host HIV/ Aids Awareness Day in Mitchells Plain

The City of Cape Town's Urban Renewal Programme, in partnership with the Cape Flats YMCA, the provincial and municipal Departments of Social Development, City Health, the Substance Abuse Matrix Centre and Lentegeur Clinic, will host an open day to raise awareness of HIV and Aids. Councillor Natalie Bent, Chairperson of the Mitchells Plain Sub Council, will deliver the opening address.

Venue: Town Centre (behind the Urban Renewal Offices) Northern Taxi Terminal, Mitchells Plain

All media are welcome to attend.

Various service providers dealing with HIV/Aids, TB and substance abuse will showcase their interventions by handing out pamphlets. The Cape Flats YMCA will provide HIV/Aids testing and counselling.

Parking will be available opposite the Campwell Hardware Store.
