Stop/go on DR1583 in Reebokstene

Power Construction is currently finishing the seal surfacing on the left hand lane of the DR1578 down the hill between Reebokstene and the Sandhoogte intersection near the sewage works. The vehicles will start driving on the newly sealed left hand lane.
 
They will then commence with completing the construction of the right hand lane up the hill starting during this week (16 March 2020).
 
Due to width restrictions and to prevent vehicles stopping and pulling away on the newly placed fresh seal on the hill, the stop/go point at the bottom of the hill will have to be moved up to Reebokstene.
 
This means that the stop/go period through this section will increase but in the interest of safety and to get this section of road completed as soon as practically  possible it will require these measures to be put in place.
 
The construction team apologises for any inconvenience that could be caused by this revised traffic management requirement. Every effort is being made to get the road works completed by the allotted construction completion date.
