The Road Accident Fund's “RAF on the Road” Campaign Event in Mfuleni

Donald Grant, Minister of Transport and Public Works delivered the keynote address in support of the Road Accident Fund’s “RAF on the Road” campaign on 11 October 2014 in Mfuleni.

Since its inception, the campaign has taken the Road Accident Fund’s (RAF’s) service offering to 40 disadvantaged communities countrywide, rendered services to more than 27 000 claimants and made settlement offers to the value of R679 442 000.

Minister Grant and representatives from the Road Accident Fund, City of Cape Town, and SANTACO, visited the home of Ms Miriam Letsaba, a resident of Mfuleni who sustained a spinal cord injury during a crash in 2011. Ms Letsaba has been receiving assistance from the Road Accident Fund since her injury, and was provided with a state of the art wheelchair to improve her quality of life.
