New mobile alcohol evidentiary unit to combat drink driving over Festive Season

Tomorrow, 15 December 2017, Minister of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, will reveal the Department’s newly acquired Mobile Alcohol Evidentiary Unit at the Vangate Shared Services Centre.

This state-of-the-art unit, which is a repurposed emergency services vehicle, will become yet another weapon in our arsenal used to target the scourge of drink driving.

The unit will be deployed at hotspot areas across the province, where it will aid greatly in the prosecution of drunk drivers who continue to flout the law, and place many lives at risk.

As part of the launch event, Minister Grant will unveil the new Mobile Alcohol Evidentiary Unit, and provide details on how this partnership came about as well as how the unit will work.
