19 August 2012

The Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, and Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will brief the media on 21 August 2012 on a pilot to mobilise neighbourhood watches to escort paramedics when they enter high-risk areas. The initiative follows the recent knife attack on a paramedic in Khayelitsha.
