Muizenberg School to Participate in Global Tree Planting Initiative

City Parks and Environment Online (ENO) are to jointly host a special tree planting ceremony on International Tree Planting Day. ENO is a global virtual school promoting sustainable development.

Capricorn Primary School in Muizenberg has been chosen to participate in this global tree planting initiative that will see 2 000 schools and 122 countries participate in the planting of a tree at 12:00 on International Tree Planting Day.

All media are welcome to attend.

The ENO programme was started in 2004 to increase awareness of climate change and to enhance environmental and global education. To date 300 000 trees have been planted since the inception of the programme.
