MINISTER VISITS MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND TAXI PASSENGER INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT

MEDIA ALERT: MINISTER MBOMBO VISITS MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND TAXI PASSENGER INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Today, 1 August 2017, Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr. Nomafrench Mbombo is currently visiting the Members of Parliament (MP) and taxi passengers involved in a car accident this morning in Paarl. 

“We are deeply saddened by the fatal car crash that claimed a life of a Member of the Basic Education Standing Committee and left three members and some of the taxi passengers injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased member;” said Minister Mbombo.

Four taxi passengers were admitted at Paarl Hospital and the MPs at a private hospital in Paarl. Minister Mbombo, along with provincial Education Minister Debbie Shafer, were met in Paarl by Western Department of Health Officials and the private hospital management. They received a briefing and shared their deep sympathy.
