Minister van Rensburg to Congratulate LandCare Award Winners

Mr Gerrit van Rensburg, Western Cape Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, will be congratulating a number of LandCare Award winners on Tuesday, 6 November 2012 at  Elsenburg.

The name of the Department of Agriculture were once again held high during the National LandCare Conference in Mahikeng. All 9 provinces attended and competed for the prizes. The Department’s LandCare sub-programme walked away with two of the four golden awards, one for the Conservation Agriculture project at Suurbraak (best conservation project) and the Genadendal Community (best community focused project). They also were awarded a bronze award in the category individual LandCare Champion (Dirk van Papendorp).
