Minister Ramatlakane Condemns Killing of Four Family Members

Western Cape Minister for Community Safety Mr Leonard Ramatlakane has called on the community of Bishop Lavis in the Cape Flats to come forward with information that could help find the killers of four family members in Bishop Lavis.

Police received a phone call early this morning (4 am) saying that one person had been wounded in 15th Street in Bishop Lavis, upon arrival at the house police found three males and one female dead in the house they had all been shot.

Commenting on the incident Minister Ramatlakane said "it is terrible, its saddening for people to be killed in such a callous manner", "it is clear that there had been more than one person who perpetrated this deed", "I want to call upon the community of Bishop Lavis and anyone with information about the perpetrators to contact the police",

"I also want to call on the community to spread their eyes wide open in every street and in so doing helping to police their streets against such incidents". "It is clear that this crime had been planned and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms".

Minister Ramatlakane has also called on those people who could have been with the gunmen to also break the silence and come forward with information.
