Minister Plato takes safety outreach and opportunities to Samora Machel

Today, Thursday 19 May 2016, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will conduct an extensive safety outreach in Samora Machel, Philippi.

As part of the outreach, Minister Plato, accompanied by the South African Police Service (SAPS) will conduct a walkabout aimed at educating our communities about the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA) and engage with the communities about their safety concerns.

Minister Plato, together with officials from the Department of Community Safety, will also engage with the youth, and those working with youth, in Samora Machel, as part of ongoing youth focused safety outreaches in the afternoon.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
