Minister Plato to host youth safety outreach in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village

Today, 16 July 2015, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will host a safety march as well as education and work opportunities outreach in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, Somerset West.

The safety outreach takes a new approach to engaging with the youth through an informative and interactive hub of activities which includes exhibition on study opportunities, motivational speakers and entertainment.

A special life skills presentation will kick off the full day programme while presentations and exhibitions on display by partners in safety will include:

  • Chysalis Academy;
  • Northlink FET College;
  • Department of Correctional Services;
  • Department of Agriculture;
  • Wellness Clinics and partners in sexual health; as well as
  • Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.
