Minister Plato Encourages Unemployed Nyanga Youth to Study Further

20 May 2013

Today, Monday, 20 May 2013, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will be attending a post-matric education information session for the unemployed youth in Nyanga.

Minister Plato said, “It is only through a whole-of-society approach that we will win the war against crime and this war starts by diverting the youth at risk towards meaningful opportunities. When our learners graduate from high school, go on to study at a tertiary institution and as result are in a much better position to find employment, they are less likely to get involved in a life of crime.”

Note: All media are invited to attend.
