Minister Plato to Attend Stellenbosch Provincial Policing Needs Public Meeting

Tomorrow, Tuesday 5 August 2014, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will attend the Provincial Policing Needs and Priorities (PNP) consultation process for the Stellenbosch police cluster.

The five month consultation process across the province, aims to gather information from communities on their specific policing needs and priorities to be included in the PNP report. The report will be submitted to the National Minister of Police for his consideration, when determining where different policing resources are needed. The communities of Stellenbosch, Cloetesville, Franschhoek, Groot Drakenstein and Klapmuts have the opportunity tomorrow, to use the consultation process and have their say on their safety concerns. Through the PNP, the Western Cape Government is committed to working Better Together to increase the safety of all our communities.
