Media Alert: Vaccination Shortages Update

For a period of about six weeks there has been a short supply of the vaccinations Pentaxim and Prevenar at community health centres. However, the situation has since been resolved.

In order to update the media on the vaccine shortage situation, the Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, and the City of Cape Town councillor responsible for City Health, Ms Lungiswa James, will tomorrow visit the Ravensmead Community Health Centre to ensure that vaccinations are readily available and running smoothly. Media will receive an update on the reasons for the temporary lapse of supply.

Directions: From De Waal Drive, merge on to N2 via the ramp to Cape Town International/Somerset West. Take exit 15 for M10/Modderdam Road. Merge on to Duinefontein Road/M10. Continue straight on to Duinefontein Road. Continue on to Modderdam East Road. Turn left on to De La Rey Road. Turn left at the third cross street on to Industria Ring Road. Continue on to Ullswater Road. Turn right on to Florida Street.
