Media Alert: International Day for People with Disabilities

On Thursday 03 December 2009, the Department of Health's Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre (WCRC) for persons with physical disabilities will celebrate International Day for People with Disabilities. The theme for the day is "Realising the Millennium Development Goals for all: Empowerment of persons with disabilities and their communities around the world".

In line with the theme, the programme will be aimed at raising awareness and educating clients and other role players about the issues faced by disabled people daily.
