Media Alert: Housing Summit with the Integrated Network for Human Settlement in the Western Cape

The Integrated Network for Human Settlement in the Western Cape has requested a Housing Summit on Saturday 13 November 2010 to obtain clarity on housing issues and the future plans for housing from the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Provincial Government.

Some one hundred (100) delegates from the eighteen (18) regions in the Cape Metropole are expected to attend.

The delegates will be addressed by the Executive Mayor, Alderman Dan Plato, Provincial Housing MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela, and Mayoral Committee Member for Housing, Councillor Shehaam Sims and housing officials.

Items on the agenda include: Housing Projects, Informal Settlement Upgrades, Project Steering Committees and Land Management.
