Media Alert: Accident on Vissershok Road, Durbanville

One male was declared dead on arrival and one female is in a critical condition after a collision between a Toyota SUV and Fiat Uno on Vissershok Road, Durbanville this morning (Monday, 26 July 2010) at 7h30. Metro Rescue support arrived on the scene with the Jaws of Life and Rescue Medic ten minutes after receiving the call.

According to Metro Rescue Incident Officer, Cashwell and the Metro Rescue Medic, Dr Smith, the cause of the accident is unknown but the road was extremely misty when they arrived on scene.

The driver of the Uno was extracted from the vehicle and declared dead on scene by the Metro Rescue Medic. The driver of the SUV was attended to by the Rescue Medic and transported to the Milnerton Medic clinic.
