Date: Thursday, 17 September

Time: 08:30

Venue: Bonteheuwel Library, Town Centre, Bluegum Street, Bonteheuwel

All media are welcome to attend.

The participating libraries in District 4 are: Athlone, Belhar, Bridgetown, Bishop Lavis, Bonteheuwel, Crossroads, Delft, Delft South, Gugulethu, Hanover Park, Heideveld, Manenberg, Nyanga, Rylands and Valhalla Park.

The aim of the competition is to select a winner in each of the three official languages of the city and they will be crowned as the "District 4/Eskom Gr. 7 Reader of the Year".

The competition hopes to improve the linkage between the City's libraries and schools and to inculcate a love of reading among school children.
