Chrysalis graduates to spread awareness of COVID-19 in Khayelitsha

Tomorrow, the Minister of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, will provide a briefing on the training programme for Chrysalis graduates, marking the launch of the targeted COVID-19 hotspot programme and their deployment as of Monday 15 June in Khayelitsha. The programme is supported by the Khayelitsha Development Forum (KDF), the Department of Health and training will be provided by Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

A total of 60 Chrysalis Graduates will be deployed at various shopping centers and Community Health Facilities. They will be responsible for creating awareness of COVID-19 by encouraging the community to adhere to social distancing protocols including washing and sanitising their hands regularly and wearing masks.
