100 Year Old Granny To Receive Her Title Deed

Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Mr Bonginkosi Madikizela will today Monday 01, August 2016, handover a title deed to 100 year old beneficiary, Ms Johanna Carolus in Blanco, George, Western Cape.

Ms Carolus who turned 100 on the 30th of June lives in Blanco with her family including her 98 year old sibling and they have been living in the area since they were born.

The title deed handover is part of the Department’s strategic goals to prioritise the elderly in ensuring ownership of their houses. The department believes that handing over title deeds gives people a sense of security, dignity and pride in having full ownership of their properties.

Minister Madikizela often says “Beneficiaries must always make sure that they maintain their houses and look after their properties for the benefit of their grand and grand-grand children to come”.
