Mitchell's Plain Community Health Centre

Primary healthcare is the first level of contact that you, your family and your community have with the health-care system. At the Mitchells Plain Community Health Centre (MPCHC) we provide a wide variety of primary health services for free to the community of Mitchells Plain and surrounding areas, including Philippi, Samora Machel, Weltevrede Park, Mandalay and Marikana.

The CHC is open to any member of the public – no one will ever be turned away.

Our services include:

• a 24 hour trauma unit for emergencies,
• maternity obstetric unit (MOU),
• mental health services,
• specialised paediatric services for children up to 5 years old,
• an outpatient department,
• pharmacy and dispensary,
• an antiretroviral (ARV) clinic, and
• a Chronic Diseases of Lifestyle (CDL) clinic (including CDL clubs).
