Preferential Procurement Policy Framework ACT NO 2000

Being one of the cornerstones of BEE, this Act determines that:

  • Government uses its own purchasing power to achieve economic transformation.
  • Provision is made for a 90/10 or 80/20 split on price/other criteria, depending on rand value of a contract.
  • Other criteria include advancement of previously disadvantaged South Africans.
